Drill results from the Island zone on the Fer property in northern Manitoba suggest the gold-copper mineralization continues at depth.
Canmine Resources (ASE) reports that a 2.9-metre section from hole 5 assayed 0.006 oz. gold and 0.41 oz. silver per ton, as well as 1.01% copper and 3.19% zinc. (This intersection was below previously drilled intersections.)
Hole 6, drilled 168 metres east of hole 5, intersected a mineralized section with up to 95% massive sulphides at a depth of 230 metres. Here, assays are still pending.
Only 5% of the Island zone conductor has been drill-tested and further deep drilling will be carried out.
