NEWS ROUNDUP — Bolivar cuts Cuban deal

An agreement with the Cuban government gives Bolivar Goldfields (VSE) a half interest in the exploration and development of four concessions in that country.

The properties comprise more than 7,900 sq. km in central and eastern Cuba. Previous work by Cubans and East Europeans consisted of geological, geochemical, air and ground geophysical surveys.

The joint budget for the first year of exploration is projected at US$1 million. The work will consist of assessing existing data and carrying out geochemical and geophysical field programs on specific targets.
