NEWS ROUNDUP — Audrey ups reserves at 1100 lens

Minable reserves have increased at the 1100 lens project, part of the Mobrun mine northeast of Rouyn-Noranda, Que.

Audrey Resources (ME) says reserves increased by 860,000 tonnes following a 6,600-metre drill program on the 4650 level. The deposit is now estimated to contain 8.5 million tonnes averaging 4.49% zinc, 0.74% copper, 32.6 grams silver and 1.3 grams gold per tonne. By comparison, figures at the end of 1992 were 7.6 million tonnes averaging 4.35% zinc, 0.69% copper, 32.6 grams silver and 1.2 grams gold. Both sets of estimates are in the probable catagory.

Audrey is studying the feasibility of putting the deposit into production at 2,000 tonnes per day. The study should be completed by the end of the month.
