Bulk sampling has enhanced the potential of Armistice Resources’ (ME) gold property in Virginiatown, Ont.
The company mined a 3,200-ton bulk sample with an estimated grade of 0.3 oz. gold per ton. The material will be custom-milled, with gold recovery expected to be 95%.
Further bulk sampling is planned for two mineralized zones which are accessible from the 2,250-ft. level. However, the last 100 ft. of the shaft and the 2,250 level must first be dewatered.
The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund will provide Armistice with up to $300,000 to explore its Virginiatown project further.
