Based on a recent agreement-in-principle with Tagish Resources, Waterford Resources (VSE) is planning to explore the Storie project in the Eskay Creek region north of Stewart, B.C. Waterford can earn a 49% interest in the Aftom 7 claim which adjoins the Aftom 9 claim and is about 3,000 metres southeast of the Eskay Creek 21 zone deposit owned by Prime Resources Group and Stikine Resources. Tagish’s title to the Aftom 7 and 9 claims was the subject of several claim disputes adjudicated by the province’s chief gold commissioner. Orders awarding title to Tagish are still the subject of court appeals. Waterford said exploration of the Storie project will begin as soon as possible, with drilling planned for late summer.
