NEWS IN BRIEF Kennecott drops Washington Dome

A joint venture agreement between a unit of Kennecott and High Frontier Resources (VSE) was terminated by the major company because of disappointing drill results at High Frontier’s Washington Dome project in Utah. The junior company is now in the process of divesting its entire interest in the Washington Dome project. High Frontier is about to begin an extensive exploration program on properties in the “Golden Triangle” region of northwestern British Columbia with joint venture partners Kennecott and Noranda (TSE).
