News in Brief (May 23, 1988)

Argo Development has changed its transfer agent to Guaranty Trust Co.

An action for defamation of character claiming $1,500,000 for damages to his reputation was instituted by Donald McKinnon against Scintilore Explorations (TSE) and others in the Supreme Court of Ontario on Oct 29, 1987. However, because the statement of claim was not served upon Scintilore within six months of its issuance, it has expired and can no longer be served, Scintilore says, so the action is no longer pending against the company.

A cease trade order prohibiting trading in the securities of Snow Chief Resources Inc. (formerly Hawksbill Resources Inc.) has been partially rescinded by the VSE effective April 13 to allow the company to complete an escrow transfer, a debt settlement and the public offering of securities of the company.
