News in Brief (June 13, 1988)

Stratabound Minerals Corp. (VSE) has signed a letter of intent with Sofomines 1988 and Co. Ltd. Partnership of Montreal whereby the company will receive up to $500,000 in exploration funds in exchange for flow-through shares at a price to be determined. Stratabound has completed a $68,100 private placement of flow-through shares at 75 cents per share for a June drilling program at Indin Lake, N.W.T.


Highland Valley Resources has changed its transfer agent to Canada Trust Co.


East West Resource Corp. has subdivided its shares on a 1-old-for-2- new basis.


Q. C. Explorations has changed its transfer agent to Central Trust Co.


Consolidated Colossal Energy has changed its name to Draco Gold Mines Inc. (DGM:VSE) on a share- for-share basis.


Toro Resources has changed its name to British Medical Services Ltd. (BMD:VSE) on a share-for- share basis.


Energy, Mines and Resources reported that Canadian shipments of potash decreased from 860,698 tonnes in March, 1987, to 781,249 tonnes in March, 1988.
