Asitka Resource Corp. has changed its name to Orenda Forest Products Ltd. (OFP:VSE) on a share-for-share basis. Transfer agent is Montreal Trust.


Mishibishu Gold Corp. (MGO:VSE) is the new company formed by the amalgamation of Caribbean Resources, Exmar Resources, Mishibishu Resources and Mishi Lake Resources, a non- reporting company. Caribbean shareholders will receive 0.4215 new share for one old share; Exmar shareholders receive 0.5334 new share for one old share; Mishibishu shareholders receive 0.6278 new share for one old share; Mishi Lake shareholders receive one escrow share for each old share held. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust.


BGR Precious Metals (BPT.A: TSE) has declared a regular quarterly dividend of 25 cents per common and class A share, payable Jan. 26 to shareholders of record Jan. 19.


The 6th Maintenance/Engineering Conference will be held in Sudbury, Ont., Feb. 18-21, 1990. The theme will be “technology for the 1990s.” Hosted by the M/E section of the Sudbury branch and sponsored by the M/E division of the C.I.M., the gathering is expected to attract more than 300 delegates from Canadian and foreign mining operations.


Xenium Resources (VSE) has changed its name to Zeal Capital (ZCL:VSE) on the basis of one new share for two old shares. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust Company.


Deerfoot Resources (COATS) is being re-activated with the appointment of Bruce Young as president. At a special meeting of shareholders, held last month, approval was granted for a change of the company’s name to Geneva Lake Minerals. Under its new management, the junior company is planning to explore the Geneva Lake property in Hess Twp., near Sudbury Ont. Deerfoot has an option to earn a 50% interest in the 800-acre property by making expenditures of $525,000. An underwriting is tentatively planned for January, according to Young.


Teck (TSE) has declared a semi- annual dividend of 10 cents , an increase of 2 cents , on its Class A and B shares, both payable on Dec. 29 to shareholders of record Dec. 15.


Adrian Resources (VSE) has changed its transfer agent to Central Guaranty Trust Company.


Seven Mile High Resources has changed its name to Seven Mile High Group Inc. (SVH:VSE) on a share-for-share basis. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust.


Que West Resources has merged with Channel Resources (CHU: VSE) under the latter name. Que West shareholders receive one new share for six old shares; Channel shareholders receive one new share for one old share. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust.

Canadian Pawnee Oil Corp. has changed its name to Britannia Gold (BGP:VSE) on a 1-new-for-10-old- share basis. Transfer agent is National Trust.


Hisway Mining Corp. has merged with Hisway Resources Corp. (HIS:VSE) under the latter name. Hisway Mining shareholders receive one new share for two old shares; Hisway Resources shareholders receive one new share for one old share. Transfer agent is Montreal Trust.


Exploration Aumisko has changed its name to Ressources Granisko (GKOA:ME) on the basis of one new class A share for two old class A shares. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust.


Noranda (TSE) has increased its interest in Brenda Mines (TSE) to 69% through stock purchases on the TSE totalling 116,400 shares and by buying 803,600 shares in private agreements. Noranda now owns about 3.4 million shares of Brenda and says it may acquire additional shares.


Phillip Resources has changed its name to Austin Mines (AIM: VSE) on a 1-new-for-3.5-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust Company.


Coin Lake Mines has changed its name to United Coin Lake Gold Mines (UCM:TSE) on a 1-new- for-2-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust Company.


Redfern Resources (VSE) has been conditionally approved for listing on The Toronto Stock Exchange, subject to final acceptance of formal documentation.


Wells Gold (VSE) has changed its name to Astridon Development Corp. (ASV:VSE) on a share-for- share basis. Trading shall remain halted pending regulatory approval. Transfer agent is Central Guaranty Trust Co.
