The Centre for Resource Studies at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ont., will receive a $81,525 grant to study the impact of research and development on the province’s mining industry, says Ontario’s Mines Minister Hugh O’Neil. The study will explore innovations in the mining industry and test efficiency gains associated with them.


Orbex Industries has changed its name to Silver Glance Resources Inc. (SXG:VSE) on a 1-new-for-5-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Montreal Trust Co.


United Cambridge Mines has changed its name to Consolidated Cambridge Mines Ltd. (CRM: VSE) on a 1-new-for-5-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Montreal Trust Co. of Canada.


Sunrise Metal Corp. has changed its name to Pacific Sun Resource Corp. (PSZ:VSE) on a 1-new-for-4-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Montreal Trust Co.


Balsam Resources has changed its name to Consolidated Balsam Resources Inc. (BSA:VSE) on a 1-new-for-2-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Montreal Trust Co.
