Candela Resources (CDD:VSE) has changed its transfer agent to Central Guaranty Trust Co.


Golden Rule Resources (TSE) has increased its stake in Tyler Resources (TSE) to 20.3% by acquiring 2.1 million Tyler common shares from treasury.

The transaction follows an agreement between both companies with respect to the settlement of an aggregate of $522,000 of obligations of Tyler to Golden Rule.


Nanisivik Mines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mineral Resources International (TSE), recently increased its stake in Highwood Resources (TSE) to 22.5%. No further purchases are presently planned, Nanisivik says.


The Toronto Branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy will hold a luncheon meeting at the Royal York Hotel, April 12. Alan Hill, American Barrick’s senior vice-president of operation, will trace the growth of his company and discuss its use of pressure leaching to treat sulphide ore at the Mercur and Goldstrike mines.
