NEWS IN BRIEF (September 10, 1990)

Denison Mines recently sold its 19.5% interest in Parlake Resources (TSE) in a private transaction. Denison declined to reveal the price it received for the 496,611 shares of the junior it sold.


Canadian Venture Corp. (CVB:VSE) has changed its name to Consolidated Canadian Venture Corp. (CVV:VSE) on a 1-new-for-3-old-share basis. Transfer agent is Pacific Corporate Services.


Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy has changed its name to The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. The Institute’s acronym continues to be CIM.
