Newfoundland mines ministry opens new home, and home page on Web

Newfoundland’s Department of Mines and Energy has moved into new quarters at 50 Elizabeth Ave. in St. John’s.

The new mailing address is Box 8700, St. John’s, Nfld. A1B 4J6. The telephone number, (709) 729-3159, remains unchanged, but the fax number has switched to (709) 729-4491.

Also, the agency now has a page on the World Wide Web, the address of which is http://www.geosurv.gov.nf.ca The mines branch will hold its annual review of activities on Nov. 7 at the Delta Hotel in St. John’s.
