New zone uncovered by Val d’Or, Abcourt

A new gold-bearing zone in the northern part of the Vendome property located 30 miles north of Val d’Or, Que., and three miles west of Barraute, has been discovered by Val d’Or Resources (ME) and Abcourt Mines (ME). The two companies also report work on an underground ramp has started.

Val d’Or and Abcourt have agreed to raise $7 million in two stages during the next two years. The money will be spent on exploration work on the Vendome-Barvalle property, which comprises 27 adjoining claims in Fiedmont and Barraute twps., and on 19 adjoining claims which are part of the Abcourt-Barvue property in Barraute Twp.
