With the intersection of polymetallic mineralization in two more holes on its Lewis Ponds project in Australia, Tri Origin Exploration (TSE) has calculated a preliminary reserve estimate of 1.5 million tonnes grading 3.25% zinc, 1.73% lead, 0.23% copper, 4.83 grams gold per tonne and 88 grams silver.
The deposit remains open at depth and along strike to the north and has not yet been traced to surface.
Hole TLPD-9 intersected 12 metres grading 1.16% zinc, 2.28 grams gold and 25 grams silver, including 3 metres grading 6.6 grams gold at 270 metres. Hole TLPD-8, collared about 100 metres further south, hit 3 metres grading 4.18% zinc, 1.4 grams gold and 127 grams silver at 240 metres. At 400 metres, hole TLPD-8 returned 10 metres grading 2.55% zinc, 75 grams silver and 0.42 grams gold.
Tri Origin based its reserve calculations on a strike length of 250 metres, a vertical extent of 200 metres and an average thickness of 9.75 metres. A down-hole electromagnetic surface recently completed on holes 9 and 6 has indicated strong off-hole conductors.
A $250,000 program designed to delineate and extend the main zone and test new targets will begin in April.
