New program at Verneuil Twp.

The third phase of drilling is under way at a Verneuil Twp. gold prospect in northwestern Quebec, Golden Tag Resources (VSE) reports.

The initial holes of a minimum 10,000-ft. program are planned for the area around Hole 22, which intersected 20.3 ft. of 0.29 oz. gold per ton. Also to be tested are an anomaly and the Toussaint shear zone.

Tag has a 60% interest in the property, and Gold Hawk Resources (ASE) a 40% interest. Operator of the work program is Freewest Resources (TSE), which can earn a 50% interest.

Tag holds or can earn an interest varying from 30% to 100% in a total of 324 claims in the area surrounding the gold discovery.
