Exploration in the vicinity of the Seabee mine site in northern Saskatchewan has uncovered a promising new gold showing, say partners Claude Resources (TSE) and Manchester Resources. While prospecting at Santoy Lake, five miles east of Claude’s Seabee, the joint venture discovered two gold-bearing zones with assays ranging up to 4.9 oz. gold per ton. Visible gold associated with sulphides is common in hand specimens from the quartz-carbonate zones, the partners say.
Exploration efforts for 1991, beginning in January, will include geophysical surveying, diamond drilling, geological mapping, prospecting, trenching and channel sampling.
