The orebody at the Hope Brook zone is combined in an altered volcanic silicified sequence about 2 1/2 miles long. The actual Hope Brook formation occurs at the northeast end of this altered zone. It outcrops at surface, averages about 66 ft in width, 1,148 ft in depth and about 1,310 ft on strike length. The orebody varies in width from 16 ft to 197 ft with an average of 82 ft; it is shallow and steeply dipping at about 75 degrees — all of which means that it is relatively easy to mine, says General Manager Bill Fotheringham.
