Drilling should begin in September on a new gold discovery near Lac La Hache, B.C.
Trenching on the Miracle Claims, 28 km north of the town, held by newly-listed G.W.R. Resources of Vancouver, has returned encouraging results which justify further investigation.
Samples from one 10-m trench assayed 1.94 oz gold, 2.96 oz silver per ton and 14.3% copper, according to Irwin Eisler, vice-president of G.W.R. The trench was opened along the length of the mineralized vein which appears to be 1 m wide, Eisler says.
The company has had inquiries from major companies, but plans to complete further work before commencing a drilling program in September.
The issue traded in Vancouver this week at about 64 cents .
