New contract at David Bell

Workers at the David Bell gold mine, owned jointly by Teck (TSE) and Homestake (TSE), recently ratified a new 3-year collective agreement.

Highlights of the contract include a 7% wage increase over three years (retroactive to last Nov. 1) and a pension increase. The mine is one of three producing properties in the Hemlo gold camp of northwestern Ontario.
