The extent of the Huckleberry copper project, near Kemano, B.C., is gradually coming into focus.
As definition and infill drilling continue on the East zone, New Canamin Resources (VSE) is preparing to test a large copper-gold anomaly extending to the north and east of that zone.
The property was last estimated to contain a drill-indicated resource (in the East and Main zones combined) of 80 million tons grading more than 0.6% copper.
Drilling on the farthest section to the east indicates a north-northeasterly trend to the mineralization, which is consistent with geophysical and geochemical data. Recent drilling on this section includes a 350-ft. intersection grading 0.43% copper from 80-430 ft.
New Canamin expects to begin drilling on the copper-gold target within 40 days, once road access is available and permitting is complete. In the meantime, close-spaced drilling, currently under way on the East zone, should upgrade reserves to a drill-proven category for the completion of a bankable feasibility study.
