Under the direction of 75% owner Nevsun Resources (TSE), drills are turning on the Juabo concession in central Ghana
The concession is 40 km west of Nevsun’s Kubi concession and the Ashanti gold mine. The preliminary program is evaluating the near-surface oxide gold potential of a geochemical and airborne magnetometer anomaly measuring 9 km long by 300 metres wide.
The anomaly has returned gold and arsenic values, and induced-polarization (IP) surveys have identified a strong, deep-rooted structure along a 2-km strike length of the anomaly.
Further IP surveys are under way over the remaining 7 km of strike length, and Nevsun will test the deep sulphide potential of the target in the current drill program.
