Drilling by X-Cal Resources (XCL-T) will test the West Wood target at the Sleeper gold mine in Nevada.
The junior company began conducting surveys and compiling data from the project after reaching an agreement with Amax Gold (AXG-T) to combine their lands in the region into a single 10,000-acre project. The package includes the Sleeper mine.
Previous drilling of West Wood returned 225 ft. of 0.026 oz. gold per ton from 300-536 ft., and 110 ft. of 0.137 oz. from 695-805 ft. The current program will offset these holes and attempt to track the mineralization toward surface, west of the pit.
Other gold targets close by will also be drill-tested this year.
