Quest International Resources (QIX-T) has begun drilling at its Jasperoid gold project, southeast of Winnemucca.
The company is engaged in a 5-To-7-hole, 3,000-ft. program on the 42-Claim property. The holes will test a target defined by several surface samples.
The company also holds interests in four other Nevada properties, including Coleman Canyon in the north, in which Aur Resources (AUR-T) can earn a 70% interest.
In the southern portion of the Carlin trend, the company has two properties in the Railroad district. The Pony Creek project, which covers 180 unpatented claims, is a 60-40 joint venture with Newmont Mining (NEM-N), whereas the Pinion project covers 208 unpatented claims and partial interests in other claims.
Quest also controls the New Pass project, west of Austin. Up to 168 drill holes there outlined a resource of 3.1 million tons grading 0.05 oz. gold per ton, equivalent to 170,500 oz.
