The Canadian Dealing Network, the nation’s major trading mart for over-the-counter stocks, has set a trading record for the third consecutive year.
Trading volume in 1995 was close to 1.7 billion shares, an increase of 47% over 1994, and the number of transactions was 22% higher. The CDN now has 49 participating securities firms, and during 1995 a total of 818 different securities traded on the network. It operates as a subsidiary of the Toronto Stock Exchange.
