NDT Ventures sets sights on ground in Argentina

Junior NDT Ventures (NDE-V) has staked two concessions in the Cordon de Esquel region of Chubut province in south-central Argentina.

The two concessions, Magma 1 and 2, comprise a total of 5,000 ha and are known to host alteration and gold mineralization that are related to structural systems which trend in a northwesterly to northerly direction. These systems act as a control for most of the volcanic-hosted, low-sulphidation, epithermal activity in the region.

An Argentinean company, Minera El Desquite (MED), recently discovered several epithermal gold zones on the nearby Cordon de Esquel property, and these zones are said to be geologically similar to areas being explored by MED.

Mineralization in the region is related to quartz-vein structures, stockwork vein systems and hydrothermal breccias. The Esquel area has moderate elevations ranging from 1,200 to 1,500 metres, with a Nevada-type climate. The nearby town of Esquel (population 30,000) would act as a service centre.

Initial exploration will consist of geological mapping and sampling.
