Native conference in Calgary area

The Tsuu T’ina First Nation in Alberta will host a conference dealing with resource development on traditional aboriginal territories.

The event, scheduled for April 23-26, 1995, will be held both in Calgary and at the Tsuu T’ina Nation complex, west of the city.

Resource development includes the activities of mining, oil and gas, forestry and hydro-electric companies.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for open discussion so that the aboriginal community and business can learn more about each other’s aspirations.

The format of the conference and its content are being developed by a program advisory committee chaired by Robert Blair.
