Following an encouraging bulk-sampling project at Hottentots Bay, off the coast of Namibia, Namco (VSE) continues to experience good fortune. At Luderitz, 215 diamonds were recovered recently from a single sample site.
In one area, five of the samples recorded stone counts of 15 diamonds or more.
The next phase will involve taking three bulk samples at 10-metre intervals, while further samples will be taken on a 25-metre grid basis. Further infill sampling will follow.
The average size of the recovered stones is 0.25 carat, and 95% of them are of gem quality.
