Bulk sampling off the coast of Namibia is expected to lead to commercial production by early 1997 for Namco (VSE).
The average value of diamonds recovered from the Luderitz Bay Grant is US$206 per carat. By early March, Namco had recovered 2,825 diamonds.
A private placement worth almost $9.2 million will be used to sample additional sites and, eventually, to develop and construct a mine.
