Naldrett a geological icon

The credit lines for the Odds ‘N’ Sods column in your Nov. 12 issue do not do justice to the author, A.J. Naldrett.

The speech referred to was given at Laurentian University’s convocation ceremony, when Naldrett, who holds the dual titles of Emeritus university professor and Emeritus Keevil chair in ore genesis at the University of Toronto, was awarded an honourary PhD.

The citation recognized Naldrett as the world’s foremost authority on the geology and origin of nickel-copper-platinum group elements, particularly those of the Sudbury basin.
