Morocco to host African mining conference

An estimated 400 participants, including delegates from 28 African nations, will gather in Marrakech, Morocco, for the fifth annual African Mining Investment Symposium, to be held Nov. 16-18.

The symposium and exhibit are sponsored by the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank Group. Since 1994, MIGA has played a vital role in promoting foreign investment in the African mining sector, and its annual conference is widely regarded as the pre-eminent African mining promotion event.

MIGA’s approach to mining investment promotion relies on bringing together key industry players and African governments.

In addition to sessions on mineral projects throughout Africa, the event will feature mining opportunities in Morocco, and local mine-site visits.
