More zinc at Gemini

Follow-up drilling of a massive sulphide discovery at the Gemini property in northwestern Quebec has turned up more zinc for junior Cancor Mines (KCR-M).

The first hole intersected 3 metres (from 172.5 to 175.5 metres) averaging 7.94% zinc, 0.05% copper and 1.59% lead plus 119.30 grams silver and 0.04 gram gold per tonne. Included lower in the same hole was a stringer zone that graded 0.04% copper, 0.048% zinc, 36.8 grams silver and 2.3 grams gold over 1.5 metres.

The second hole hit 9.7 metres averaging 7.12% zinc, 0.32% copper, 185.4 grams silver and 1.43 grams gold. The stringer intersected deeper in the same hole (372-375.8 metres) graded 1.26% copper, 0.03% zinc, 25.2 grams silver and 0.28 grams gold.

Cancor can acquire a half-interest in the Gemini property from Inco (n-t) by spending $1.4 million on exploration and issuing 300,000 shares.
