Results for stepout hole 95-16 on the newly discovered Wolverine zone at the Foot property in south-central Yukon are reported by Westmin Resources (TSE) and Atna Resources (VSE).
Hole 95-16 was drilled on section 16+800E, about 100 metres east of the discovery section, and encountered a faulted, 5.6-metre interval at a depth of 236.6 to 242.2 metres grading 5.67% zinc, 0.4% copper and 0.37% lead, as well as 0.57 grams gold and 84.7 grams silver per tonne.
Westmin, which is earning a 60% interest from Atna, continues to test the Wolverine zone. Hole 95-18 is being drilled to intersect the zone 100 metres downdip of hole 95-16, while hole 95-20 has stepped out on the western extension, 50 metres from holes 95-8, 9 and 11, and is testing section 16+600E.
A third rig is drilling on section 17+100E, an area north and downdip of hole 95-2, which returned minor intersections of sphalerite, pyrite and chalcopyrite mineralization over an 18-metre interval. Hole 95-2 was collared 410 metres southeast of discovery hole 95-1.
