Vancouver – Trenching has yielded high silver grades for the new Loma De La Plata zone on IMA Resources’ (IMR-V) wholly-owned Navidad project in the Patagonia district of Argentina.
The Loma de la Plata, situated 4 km west of IMA’s Galena Hill deposit was discovered in November.
Channel rock samples from the Loma Plata area, collected along the first seven of twelve lines, covered a 400 sq. metre area.
The first seven lines tested a 190 by 250 metres with 153 individual samples ranging from 0.7 to 2.5 metres long with values from 4 to 4,740 grams silver and 127 containing over 50 grams.
Results were highlighted by 40.1 metres grading 740 grams silver on Line 1; 39.4 metres of 322 grams silver on Line 2; 42.9 metres of 684 grams silver on Line 3; and 48.5 metres grading 304 grams silver per tonne on Line 7.
The company has completed another soil grid southeast of Loma de la Plata to test a potential parallel trend, for which results are pending.
