The Canadian government is providing Mexico with an additional $1 million in Green Plan funding to improve environmental enforcement and monitoring.
The environmental assistance program receives financial support from External Affairs and International Trade Canada and project management from Environment Canada. It also has the co-operation and support of Mexico’s Ministry of Social Development.
Canada provided an initial $1 million under the program in 1992.
