More encouraging results reported by Armistice Res.

More encouraging results have been reported by Armistice Resources (ME) from a hole drilled between 1,500 ft and 2,100 ft at the company’s gold project near Vir- giniatown in northern Ontario.

Hole 12W50-10, which included a section grading 0.427 oz gold per ton over 34.8 ft, is part of a deep- drilling program initiated by the company in a search for the down- faulted extension of the adjacent Kerr-Addison orebody.

The hole was drilled to the west and above hole 12W50-9, which also returned encouraging results (N.M., Oct 3/88). The following are the values reported for 12W50-10: Segment WidthGrade (ft)(ft)(oz/t) 337.4-343.4 6.00.41 410.3-413.3 3.00.09 535.8-570.6 34.80.43 803.8-806.8 3.00.1 1006.3-1011.4 5.10.25

Armistice estimates the true widths to be about 50% of the core width. Drilling was undertaken from a station on the 1,250-ft level.

The shaft-sinking program at the property has reached 1,370 ft. While drilling from the 1,250-ft level has been concluded, the company plans further exploration of the Sheldon zone, as well as the first detailed exploration of the Kerr zone — the primary target — from either the 1,850-ft or 2,050-ft level, beginning in December or January. Lateral development is being evaluated
