Wednesday close, Oct 29 Drilling results from its Bourlamaque property pushed Wrightbar Mines up 20 cents on the week as it traded 189,000 shares and closed at $1.70.
The results came from holes put down on an unexplored area about half a mile west of a decline ramp being driven by Belmoral Mines. Some of the better values were 8.6 ft of 0.23 oz gold per ton, 14.9 ft of 0.50 and 12 ft grading 0.39.
The new zone represents a big increase in potential in the proeprty which is close to the mining stage already. Wrightbar just recently acquired the ground where the latest drilling was done.
Rouyn Resources made a good gain of 20 cents on 74,300 shares, closing at $3.40 after touching a year high of $3.80. The company has three projects on the go in the Rouyn area, all of them nearing production decisions.
President Jean-Guy Rivard says results from surface drilling on its Francoeur No. 3 zone are “beyond our expectations.” Drill indicated reserves before dilution now stand at almost a million tons grading 0.205 oz gold per ton. Two rigs are testing the zone.
