A fairly new listing on the Montreal Exchange, Abbey Exploration, was the most active trader with 243,000 shares changing hands driving the stock up to 70 cents before closing at 55 cents , up 9 cents over the week.
Aur Resources has been drilling on Abbey’s Louvicourt Twp. property near Val d’Or, Que., and has discovered a new zinc-copper-gold deposit.
Aur, which has the right to earn a 50% interest in the property by providing production financing after coming up with a positive feasibility study, was off 9 cents on light trading closing at $3.15.
Vior has come back with a vengeance recently. Two years ago there were great hopes for the comapny on the basis of its discovery of a zinc-gold-silver deposit in Ligneris Twp. The company signed a lucrative option agreement with Sigma and Vior’s stock price rose to $1.94, but all news comes only from Sigma which has effectively muzzled any reports from the area.
Vior’s back up to $1.75 after touching $1.89, a year high, on 236,100 shares and it could be that Sigma has cottoned onto something up in Ligneris. Earlier this year Vior had fallen to 80 cents
