Monte Carlo Gold president resigns

Gordon Leliever, former president and major shareholder of Monte Carlo Gold Mines (ASE) has sold his control block of Monte Carlo shares to a group of investors headed by Robert Salna of Richmond Hill, Ont. Leliever has resigned as president but remains as a director. Salna will assume the presidency upon regulatory approval.

Monte Carlo is currently negotiating a private placement of 625,000 shares to raise $250,000 in an attempt to reduce debt and finance part of an exploration program which will commence this month.
