Additional drill results have been received by Moneta Porcupine Mines from the company’s Michaud Twp., Ont., property. Located east of Timmins, the property has been the site of drilling since July.
Some of the better results come from hole 58, in the Southwest zone, which cut multiple zones of low grade mineralization near the drill collar. These sections included 0.06 oz gold per ton across 35 ft and 0.046 oz gold in a 20-ft section. Deeper sections in the same hole encountered improved grades of 0.28 oz gold in a 7 ft section and 0.127 oz gold per ton in a 26.5-ft section.
Drilling completed to date on the Southwest zone has intersected gold values across 400 ft of strike, 600 ft of width and to a depth of 650 ft, Moneta says.
