The second hole drilled by Mirandor Exploration (MIG-M) has returned attention-grabbing results from the Bunker Hill polymetallic discovery at the Railroad project in Nevada’s Carlin trend.
Hole 2 returned: 10 ft. grading 0.63 oz. gold per tonne, 0.32% copper and 0.55% zinc from 85 to 95 ft.; 20 ft. of 0.4 oz. gold, 0.24% copper and 0.46% zinc from 85 to 105 ft.; and 40 ft. of 0.17 oz. gold, 0.24% copper and 0.36% zinc from 80 to 120 ft.
The previously reported first hole at Bunker Hill returned 60 ft. grading 0.12 oz. gold, 0.76% copper and 0.15% zinc from 15 to 75 ft.
The junior company says the samples were assayed by fire assay by Bondar-Clegg Laboratories, with at least half of each sample retained for verification.
Drilling to date has not exceeded 800 ft. The company says it was “surprised” at having encountered high-grade results at such shallow depths. Five major mining companies are reported to have contacted Mirandor regarding possible joint ventures.
