Mining supports Science World

British Columbia’s mining industry is once again supporting Science World’s efforts to raise funds for the development of new exhibits.

The Mining Association of British Columbia is sponsoring third prize in this year’s “Science Out of This World Lotto,” a spectacular $20,000 bracelet featuring 44 round brilliant-cut diamonds in an 18-carat yellow and white gold setting.

Only 6,000 tickets will be sold in the lottery, where the first of five prizes is a luxury 2-bedroom-plus-den condominium (valued at $300,000) on Vancouver’s scenic False Creek shoreline.

Science World is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness, understanding and appreciation of science and technology. Its programs are aimed at educating and inspiring young people to pursue careers in science and technology.

Tickets are $100 each, and can be ordered by calling 604-687-1343. The draw date is March 10.
