Bonfield, Ont.-based WipWare received an honourable mention for its technology which measures the size distribution of rock fragments in order to optimize blasting.
In the market expansion category, HLS Hard-line Solutions of Dowling, Ont., received an honourable mention for penetrating the Latin American market with its robotic control systems.
North Bay-based McIntosh Engineering won an award of merit in the same category, in recognition of its mining consulting, engineering and design services.
Jon Baird, managing director of the Canadian Association of Mining Equipment & Services for Export won a regional award for leadership. Over the past few years, CAMESE has expanded its membership and services considerably.
In May, regional winners move on to compete for provincial honours at a ceremony in Toronto.
