According to reports by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), four insiders of Kettle River Resources (KRR-T) bought shares and were granted options of that company in June and May.
Ellen Clements, director, bought 5,000 shares at 75 cents, acquired 50,000 options and disposed of 45,000 options at undisclosed unit prices to hold 463,700 shares and 50,000 options; Brian Abraham, director, let expire 40,000 options at $1.25 and was granted 40,000 options at 60 cents to hold 40,000 options;
Alan McAlpine, officer, was granted 10,000 options at 60 cents to hold 20,000 options; and George Stewart, holder of more than 10% of Kettle River shares, bought 5,000 shares at 70-80 cents, was granted 75,000 options and disposed of 78,6000 options at undisclosed unit prices to hold 707,035 shares and 75,000 options.
In other recent transactions:
* Falconbridge (FL-T) — Noranda, holder of more than 10%, bought 888,000 shares at $16.60-17.35 to hold 8.5 million shares. Though not yet reported by the OSC, Noranda has since increased its holdings in Falco to 48.31%.
* Franc-Or Resources (FOR-T) — Robert Casaceli, director, bought 350,000 shares indirectly at 40 cents to hold 403,500 shares through UTA Charles Schwab & Co.
* Iamgold (IMG-T) — Mark Nathanson, director, sold 1 million shares privately and indirectly at $5.40 to hold 14 million shares through Marzen Holdings Company.
* Rhonda Mining (RDM-A) — Peter Gummer, director, bought 70,000 shares at 45-57 cents to hold 117,500 shares.
* St Andrew Goldfields (SAS-T) — Herbert Abramson, director, bought 17,566 shares directly at $1.93 and 64,500 shares indirectly at $1.95-2.15 to hold 669,366 shares directly and 2,951,331 shares through Techifund Inc.
* Viceroy Resource (VOY-T) — Ronald Netolitzky, director, sold 50,600 shares at $2.20-$2.75 to hold 1.5 million shares direct-
ly and 96 shares through Keewatin Consultants.
* Stroud Resources (SDR-T) — George Coburn, director, exercised 100,000 options at 12 cents and sold those shares at 12 cents to hold 386,844 shares.
