An active player in the diamond rush in Canada’s Northwest Territories, Kalahari Resources (VSE), has also taken on several exploration projects in Mexico.
Earlier this year, the company announced details of its joint venture with Kennecott on the Parranda Manto project in Chihuahua. The major must spend $1 million to earn a 70% interest in the polymetallic prospect. The program is focused on locating the source of widespread surface polymetallic mineralization.
Kalahari was also involved in exploring the Nano project in Sonora, a joint venture with Northern Crown Mines (VSE). The property covers a series of rusty weathering hills containing widespread oxide copper mineralization over an area of alteration measuring 3,000×1,500 ft.
