Representatives of the Colorado mining industry recently convened at Golden to voice their opposition to proposed changes to federal mining and milling policy. The complaints were heard by the House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources.
The changes would affect hardrock mining regulations, mining fees, and the size of mill sites.
Among the mining representatives in attendance were: Stuart Sanderson, president of the Colorado Mining Association; David Rovig, president of Greystar Resources; and Craig Haase, chief legal officer for Franco-Nevada Mining.
Future hearings will be held in Washington, D.C.
