Minerals symposium

Chender, the lead-off speaker at the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy’s fifth mineral economics symposium being held in Toronto Jan 24-26, says these issues are among those the industry will face in the 1990s.

His overview on corporate strategy begins the 3-day symposium. Other topics will include sessions on marketing, commodities, technology and innovation, and finance. Speakers include Noranda Minerals President Keith Hendrick, Corona President Peter Steen, Phelps Dodge Senior Vice-president Patrick Ryan and Cameco Chairman William Gatenby.
