Mineral Hunt

The Mining and Mineralogical Museum of the Quebec Asbestos Region is seeking donations of minerals from all parts of the globe.

Donations will be used for either display, educational or research purposes. All minerals are catalogued and information about donators and origin of the specimens is recorded and displayed. Eventually, information on each specimen will also be made available to museums and researchers throughout Canada. While minerals from Quebec’s Eastern Townships have been the museum’s main interest, a spokesman stresses that donations of minerals worldwide are encouraged. For further information, write to: Science Director, Mining and Mineralogical Museum, 671 boul. Smith sud, Box 462, Thetford Mines, Que. G6G 5T3.
