MINERAL EXPORATION — Drills hit at Raigorodok

A drill program by Central Asia Goldfields (CGZ-M) has returned a 195-metre interval grading 1.5 grams gold per tonne from the Raigorodok North gold project in Kazakstan.

The company says this result, along with a 69-metre intersection grading 1.5 grams, adds to the property’s potential as a large, open-pit deposit.

Based on recent drilling and data generated by Soviet-era drilling, Central Asia Goldfields is preparing a resource calculation in preparation for a prefeasibility study. The company notes that the first 20-40 metres of rock beneath the overburden is saprolite, which could result in low-cost mining.
