Mine rescue vehicles

Ontario’s ministry of northern development and mines is buying six mine rescue vehicles from a Timmins manufacturer, to augment the arsenal of six mine rescue stations across the province.

The vehicle is a motorless, off- road unit capable of carrying mine rescue equipment as well as patients who can be treated and monitored in transit. The covered, glass fibre vehicle is adaptable to any climate or terrain, its maker says.
